Manager, Compliance Advisory - RC ADVISORY SUPPORT - GPB : 0000FJCL
In this role, you will :
Principal Accountabilities :
Primarily to support the ASP Insurance Compliance Advisory team, to maintain an effective control framework and to ensure compliance with all relevant external laws & regulations, internal policies and good market practices relating to Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime Compliance.
Provide advisory services to various stakeholders to ensure understanding of compliance risks exposure in business initiatives and projects across ASP Region.
To exercise risk steward challenge and advise, maintain regional oversight on the ASP countries to ensure compliance risks is addressed and mitigated.
Assist stakeholders on compliance related matters including setting and implementing compliance related policies and procedures in the region.
Support the team to consolidate and produce management information and reports for review, follow up with relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.
Assist the team to coordinate office and administration support as required.
Impact on the Business
To ensure proactive approach is taken to identification of Compliance risk change and potential impacts on Insurance Business Model in region.
Development and continuous review for appropriateness of control framework to monitor Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks developments impacting on Insurance in region.
To drive the regional implementation plans to quantify impacts and implement actions to address, manage and mitigate impacts of regulatory changes on Insurance.
Customer / Stakeholders
Reporting to the Compliance Advisory Insurance team ASP as relevant on Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks matters.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders within Insurance business and Compliance teams in Asia Pacific to provide expertise and support on Compliance related matters.
Leadership and Teamwork
Offer proactive assistance to the team to develop a world class and market leading Insurance Compliance Function for ASP.
Maintain and develop positive, collaborative and professional working relationships with other business managers and Compliance colleagues at the Group level and those in other Regions and Businesses.
Operational Effectiveness and Control
Contribute in the creation of a framework for the effective risk-based monitoring of the implementation of Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks related policies and controls across ASP.
Agree and oversee the implementation, embedding and monitoring of the adherence to the Compliance FIM in ASP.
Compliance professional with experience in regulatory and financial crime compliance.
Knowledge in Insurance regulations in Mainland China, Hong Kong or Singapore is an advantage.
Understanding of Insurance businesses, industry issues, insurance business operations and priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively with different stakeholders and collaborating for success.
Able to work independently, execute excellence and seek direction as needed.
Ability to cultivate a team work culture and inspire motivation and commitment in the team.
Previous experience of HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and culture would be an advantage.
