Our team, as part of the Information Protection group, provides the backbone of anti-abuse and security features for the enterprise-level service known as Exchange Online Protection (EOP) that is responsible for successfully overseeing billions of messages for tens of millions of users.
As a software development engineer on the team you will be responsible for implementing features end to end. We use multiple technologies and frameworks.
The distributed nature of the service, stateless nature of SMTP, criticality & ubiquity of email, new and exciting features we are bringing to market provide many interesting technical challenges to solve.
Distributed computation, high-scale, high availability, geo-redundancy, low-touch are all aspects that our features need to be designed with in mind.
You will be responsible for building the next generation world class spam filtering service focused around cutting edge performance and efficiency to handle the high volume of messages we process every day while still facilitating the highest level of effectiveness.
It will involve aspects of machine learning and various content classification techniques.
