Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to manage sales and team members for industrial products, mainly MBS & CPC, China, reporting to Senior Regional Manager, Northeast Asia

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensures consistent and optimal execution of strategy across the region / customer base and price policies for the Basell products and relevant market segments.
  • Builds a team consists of both account managers and technical service personnel to ensure continuing improved sales as well as effective customer relationships and organizes the support by Customer Service.
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with customers establishing solid relationships with them on commercial and technical level aiming for a preferred supplier position
  • Manages headquarters of assigned regional / global key accounts and coordinate activities with colleagues serving same key account in other regions and vice versa supports other managers with key account responsibility.
  • Introduces new products in conjunction with CPMs and Technical Service. Support initiatives to phase out old products by replacement or transfer to service providers.
  • Identifies and acquires additional customers with significant volume potential for LYB.

  • Works closely with Business Finance and Support as to determine customer financial health and credit limit.
  • Supports CSR in order to improve forecast accuracy of customer demand including seasonal buying patterns, reduces small orders and increases average size of order.
  • Helps in closing claims, ensuring LYB’s complaint handling procedure is applied and followed; and recommends contract amendment.
  • Coordinates the claim settlement with the regional Customer Service Representative and Technical Service.

  • Personal Specification

    Education :

  • University degree or above in commercial / polymer / plastic / injection / engineering or related
  • Work Experience :

  • More than 10 years sales experience in diverse range of injection process, plastics, auto
  • industry or related majors.

  • More than 5 years sales or business development management experience.
  • FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES :

  • Willingness to travel.
  • Very good matrix management skills .
  • Understands marketing principles / value-in-use analysis.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of product and application technologies.
  • Demonstrates excellent understanding of product approval procedures of the industry.
  • Strong customer / interpersonal skills.
