Key Responsibilities :

1. Product Knowledge

a. In-depth knowledge of VRF and Air conditioning product line-up (RLC & VRF)

b. Competitive benchmarking

c. Working closely with product management and sales teams to identifying gaps

d. Working closely with engineering teams

e. Participating in new product introduction

2. Sales Tool Development

a. Proving inputs to sales tools like Catalogues, product AVs, manuals etc ..

b. Developing and participating in improvement of technical tools

i. Selection software, diagnostic tool or other software either with engineering, partners or suppliers

ii. Plan and spec tools, benchmarking tools to pitch sweet spots’

c. Attending and supporting technical seminars

d. Supporting exhibitions and trade shows

3. Sales Engineering

a. Providing day to day technical support to sales teams

b. Developing technical materials for sales team

c. Supporting project design

4. Technical training

a. Developing & improving exhaustive material with engineering or partners or suppliers

b. Supporting execution for annual training calendar : Employees, channel partners etc

c. Developing train-the-trainers’ across geographies

d. Developing training center layouts and supporting execution : Own and channel partners

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Maintain sales tools including competitive comparisons, feature / benefit value, product gap analysis.
  • Develop pre-sales technical materials that aid in the selection, application and sales of VRF system products; like application notes, submittals, technical manuals and drawings.
  • Clearly articulate product features and value in public speaking events such as distributor, sales, and customer training.
  • Establish positive working relationships with the field sales force and be viewed as an authority regarding all product sales and application opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to develop support material for new products, including installation and service manuals, product data manuals, service manuals, etc.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to support the organization through field reports and quality management initiatives.
  • Willingness to take on any task or project that will benefit the company.
  • Key Competencies

    Individual should possess the capacity to work in a dynamic environment and demonstrate the ability to use decision-making abilities and technical capability to assist in meeting customer needs across dynamic regional market segments.

  • Foundational skills for this role include general HVAC design and application principles, project management, speaking in public, general engineering aptitude.
  • Strong communication and multi-functional influencing skills to align suppliers, engineering, sales, marketing, product management, after-market and leadership team.
  • Ability to collaborate with global team members across time zones
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management
  • Technical, product and application experience in HVAC industry required
  • Strong written communications, presentation skills in English, communication in Chinese required.
  • Focus on details to close out issues for the team with a strong sense of urgency, quality, self-initiative, and customer satisfaction orientation.
  • While also able to lead multiple priorities

  • Requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Education and Experience :

  • Engineering license or Master’s Degree, technical discipline (preferably mechanical or electronics) with 7+ years of experience preference for HVAC segment
  • Digital marketing or service experience appreciated
