Role Summary :
The Director is an active member of the China COO Leadership Team working in close collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, BU leaders and PF / EFs to maximize the performance and continuous efforts to improve operational effectiveness of China business.
The Director will provide internal operational services by partnering with leadership team in the form of opportunity analysis, project and program management, leadership to project teams, and thought partnership with leadership members.
The director will also work with leadership team to deliver short-mid term PBG strategies and lead the execution processes.
By bringing strong influencing skill, business analysis, facilitation and effective project management practices, the Director will help ensure the success of a broad variety of strategic & operational initiatives and conversion of critical opportunities into real actions and platforms.
Coordinate COO LT meetings; prepare agenda and related slide deck, capture meeting minutes and follow up on actions.
Play the leading role in coordinating with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Commercial, Bidding, BAI, Strategy, Supply etc, to support COO and develop the OP storyline and all numbers.
Deliver COO LT reports and requests through proactive gathering of information, ensuring quality and timely submissions
Enhance the effectiveness of the China Chief Operating Office by proactively taking on work and adding value in ways such as preparation and review of presentations, briefing documents, speaker preparation, triaging and responding to questions and requests, organizing and prioritizing materials for review, etc.
When needed work in partnership with the China President’s DBO and other China LT members across BioPharma
Bachelor degree is required; MBA degree preferred
5-8 years of overall experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry desirable
A minimum of 3 years of operational consulting / project management experience, either internally or at a large external consulting firm
Strong ability to anticipate roadblocks well before they occur and take action to ensure they don’t arise
Commercial experience (sales, marketing, commercial operations, etc.) in China
Demonstrated strength with business analysis and strategic thinking
Extensive experience with aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information in a way that enables leaders to have transparency on the underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings.
Able to interact, partner and provide thought leadership for key stakeholders with comfort and ease.
Very fluent English skill, able to communicate with headquarters smoothly
