Equipment Ownership : Act as the owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvements including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Train Maintenance and Operations Personnel in order to reduce the time it takes to recover from faults, alarms, and events of equipment failure.
Reduce the overall Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) through Preventative Maintenance measures. Work directly with the Spares Department to ensure that critical and long-
lead equipment is always readily available. Develop training material, maintenance routines, service bulletins, and relevant documentation related to cradle to grave equipment life-cycle management.
Equipment Troubleshooting : Provide hands-on support with Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations.
Equipment Reliability : Continuously improve the manufacturing equipment to ensure that throughput targets are achieved on a regular basis.
Equipment Optimization : Optimize the equipment by driving upgrades to the system to decrease cycle-time, increase yield, and availability.
Ensure that the equipment capability is optimal for downstream stakeholders.
Equipment Programming : Program and update Ladder Logic and Structured Text on Programmable Logic Controllers, and Industrial Robotic Platforms.
Equipment Commissioning and Ramp : Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering teams during the commissioning and ramp of new equipment to learn the system and pinpoint any potential engineering design oversight.
Equipment Process Stability : Work with Process Engineers to collect and analyze data on a regular basis to pinpoint areas of improvement.
Become familiar with Statistical Process Control, and Tesla Factory Data Systems to ensure part-to-part data is captured and reliable.
Collaboration : Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Controls Engineering, Production Operations, Maintenance, and Product Design.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical,Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering. The equivalent in experienceis also acceptable with evidence of exceptional ability.
Excellent communication skills,both verbal and written. English as a second language is preferred.
Good overall computer skillswith demonstrated ability in a programming language
Experience with structuredproblem solving methodology.
Able to work under intense timepressure in the presence others.
Experience with PLCprogramming, troubleshooting, and configuration.
Experience with robotprogramming, backup and restoration.
