Key Responsibilities :
Lead / contribute to multidisciplinary innovation programs by providing insights and data from an analytical chemistry perspective.
Develop analytical methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of flavor and fragrance compounds in various samples, e.
g. natural extracts, foods, body / home care products.
Identify opportunities and technical gaps through understanding of market needs and strategic thinking, and contribute to the company’s innovation pipeline.
Collaborate on innovation programs with teams in Perfumery and Flavor divisions and other enabler functions including IP and regulatory.
Play an active role in the global analytical team through discussions and leadership on specific areas.
Identify potential academic / industrial partners for collaboration programs, and lead them
Supervise and develop technicians.
We value :
PhD in analytical chemistry, natural product chemistry, medicinal chemistry. At least 5 years of professional experience in a research function, preferably in a field related to flavors and fragrances or specialty chemicals.
Solid knowledge / experience in sample preparation, development and validation of analytical methods based on GC, GC / MS, HPLC, and LC / MS.
Skilled in using organic chemistry knowledge to interpret experimental results and design experiments.
Knowledge and experience in data processing and statistical analysis tools, programming skills is a plus. Instrumentation development skills / experience are an asset.
Fluent in English. International experience and exposure to multicultural environments.
Track record of independently leading and delivering complex projects. Leadership skills, capability to develop reports and inspire colleagues.
