We are seeking an exceptional, self-motivated scientist, who will work cross-functionally within Novo Nordisk , to generate novel therapies by utilizing world class technological platforms.
In this role, the candidate should have expertise and experience in protein / peptide engineering, purification and characterization, moreover, possess a broad and superior knowledge of drug discovery and development of protein / peptide therapeutics.
Most importantly, the successful candidate should be passionate and energetic in developing innovative technologies and discovering novel therapeutic targets to solve unmet medical needs.
Contribute to the global R&D projects and pipeline by taking overall responsibility in producing proteins, providing scientific insights, proposing new ideas, and leading local project activities.
Spearhead development of protein / peptide-based drug discovery platforms for new MOAs, new molecular formats, and new drug delivery systems.
Identify, formulate and lead external collaborations to put pre-projects into NN pipeline.
Drive exploration of new technologies e.g. intracellular delivery and protein degradation
Minimum qualifications :
PhD in molecular biology, chemical biology, cell biology, chemistry, biophysics or related disciplines with oversea education or work experience
In depth working experience within protein / peptide therapeutics and / or drug discovery
Profound expertise in protein / peptide design, engineering, purification, characterization and formulation
Demonstrated scientific creativity such as good track record of publication and / or proposing new hypothesis driven research project
Knowledge and expertise in chronic metabolic disorders such as NASH, diabetes, obesity and CVD are preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and track record of driving changes
Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to network, expand influence, and achieve success in a globalized research setting
Solid organization and time management skills.
