As an Lead Marketing Specialist - Strategic Pricing, you will be part of the Electrification Products (EP) Division and Industrial Solutions (BU) Business unit, based in Shanghai.

ABB is the world leader in offering the Electrification Products and Systems that provide Building Products, Electrification Solutions, Installation Products, Protection and connection and Medium Voltage Products.

You will be responsible for implementation of the pricing policy and daily operations like price negotiations with Product Management and Sales Team. SAP Price maintenance.

Tasks :

You’re Tasks as a Lead Marketing Specialist - Strategic Pricing will include the following :

  • Collaborate with product management, product marketing and sales teams to segment & detect market trends and to find strategic pricing opportunities.
  • Translate to specific pricing strategies and execute.
  • SPA evaluation, optimisation and approval (within DOA) working with Sales, PM to maximize volume and margin.
  • Price database maintenance (SAP Price / Customer).Sales and Product Management Team daily support to make profitable pricing decision
  • Price Book preparation.
  • Understand and actively manage price performance of responsible sales districts & regions. Provide insight into opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the Pricing manager with the following :
  • 1. Support Pricing Manager in maintaining overall profitability in the region by optimizing the Price / Volume trade-off with minimal price erosion.

    2. Implement and monitor price increases / standard and special pricing.

    3. Running special price analysis and margin analysis quarterly to own and monitor trends.

    Requirements :

  • Ability to communicate and operate at all levels in English.
  • Deep knowledge in Industrial solution products and tools (SAP etc.) is a clear asset.
  • Ability to create models that provide what if capabilities and drive innovative ideas
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize work and follow through on deadlines in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
  • College / University degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience, Commercial operations / Sales / Marketing experience in the region.
  • Sharp analytical skills and process-driven.
  • Strong relationship builder and assertive, good facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Business acumen.
