Job Description

As an Assembly Engineering Manager (for Clean Room Area or Encap / PostEncap Area) at MXA, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management for both Process Engineering and Equipment Engineering Groups in your area.

You will be involved in ensuring the process is in control and quality / reliability of the product meets expectations, achieving business and organizational objectives, developing / defining the long-range objectives for the department, sustaining / improving yield through continuous improvement, developing new capabilities ahead of needs and ensuring effective and efficient risk management strategies.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Ensure the process is in control and quality / reliability of product meets expectation

Develop strategy with area managers to implement Quality Control Plan / tool

Monitor Assembly Yield and understand the key yield losses to business impact.

Provide the necessary managerial support in alignment with material / equipment and resources needs.

Provide guidance for continuous improvement teams.

Sustain and improve yield through continuous yield improvement activities / projects

Work with Area managers to establish team(s) to work on Continuous Improvement projects

Set yield target and deploy to various teams for yearly Strategic Deployment

Review overall yield target through periodic management and improvement status with teams

Reduce cost through continuous cost reduction effort

Identify the key cost drivers and work on cost reduction programs

Identify cost reduction projects to deploy to various teams for yearly Strategic Deployment

Review cost reduction project status with teams

Ensure effective and efficient risk management strategy

Develop strategy with Purchasing to identify critical suppliers and develop 2nd sourcing risk management

Identify risk management projects to deploy to various teams for yearly Strategic Deployment

Review risk management project status with teams

Define, develop and establish process / equipment capabilities, strategy and roadmap

Develop a strategy to develop new capabilities or to overcome the identified Process and equipment constraints

Develop new capabilities ahead of needs

In conjunction with Equipment Assembly Central Team, develop strategy with material / equipment suppliers to develop new material / capabilities to meet new technology requirements.

Education Required

Bachelors Degree Engineering Above

Experience Required

At least 10 years experience in any of the following : Assembly / Backend Engineering experience
