We’re seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Market Analyst, Market Research and Integrated Analytics to join our company to generated insights and analytics into growth and expansion opportunities in the North America market.

This role is responsible for generating, integrating and translating insights and analytics into growth opportunities and tactics that shape decisions and drive organizational action for the Ted Hair brand within the company.

This position serves as an internal consultant and will partner closely with brand teams and cross functional partners in China.

This position plays a key role in advising and counseling business partners and executive leadership teams in the development of new and existing business strategies and as a result, shares accountability for business results.

The right candidate has excellent bilingual (English and Mandarin) communication and presentation skills.

The Senior Market Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of market research projects. The ideal candidate will need to have a full understanding of qualitative and quantitative market research in order to exceed client expectations along with yearly revenue goals.

Additionally, the position will be able to adapt to our changing business by focusing on constant financial and business improvement.

The Senior Market Analyst will play a critical role to support the rapid growth by managing business analytics, forecasting, and reporting and must have demonstrated expertise in analytics.

The ideal candidate is a general athlete and self-starter who is comfortable performing complex analysis and working with large data sets.

You will help drive our growth strategy by identifying requirements for our data and insights needs, quickly understand key drivers of our performance across customer segments, and identify areas for improvement to deliver growth and revenue goals.

You will develop KPIs and manage analyses that monitor and improve marketing effectiveness. The right candidate has a solid understanding of cross-boarder ecommerce value chain.

You will interface with Finance, business intelligence, external partners, product, and operations

The ideal candidate has outstanding business acumen, a restlessness to answer why? and so what? questions, excellent technical skills, strong analytical abilities, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence international teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market research areas of focus may include consumer, franchise, hair and beauty; research including developmental, evaluative and exploratory research.
  • Integrate primary and secondary research insights and analytical insights developed by peers and translate into business impact, include but not limited to the impact of sales, revenue, net income etc.
  • Provide input to strategic and business plans, brand and sales strategies and new product launch plans / life cycle management for relevant Brand or Franchise.
  • Focus on key business questions and frame business problems into research or analytical plans.
  • Provide integrated findings and insights that drive sales and marketing strategies and tactics for their respective teams as well as the portfolio.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, forecasts, reports, analyses, dashboards on the key drivers of our business, and across a broad range of metrics.
  • Analytics includes the seamless integration of analytics from national and subnational levels across key customer segments and data sources and the identification and development of key metrics to measure and monitor performance through dashboards.
  • Implement optimal research / analytic approaches, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing and overall project goals.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the expansion strategy roadmap, driving customer adoption and engagement.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer behavior, competitive trends, and business drivers to inform decision making.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operation teams to gather key operational data and drive business consensus across teams.
  • Analyze the impacts of marketing financial decisions related to financial statement analysis, predict marketing adverting cost and responsible for budget control.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • BA / BS in business analysis, market research or related degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience in market research, business intelligence, marketing, sales, business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-moving consumer-facing business.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with efficient processing of large data sets.
  • Experience in developing financial projection and commercialization plan.
  • Business / market experience and industry knowledge to influence brand / product level decisions and strategies are required.
  • The ability to demonstrate leadership courage in order to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical / high value projects is critical.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use customer research, hard data and metrics to assess marketing effectiveness.
  • Proven experience with Excel and working with databases.
  • Excellent bilingual (English and Mandarin) communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in predictive modeling / statistics / econometrics.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering actionable insight for a consumer business.
  • Understanding of online marketing ecosystem, marketing channels (e.g. direct, social media, web, SEO etc.), customer segmentation and database marketing methods.
  • Have a passion for sourcing, manipulating, and visualizing data.
  • Independently identify and set priorities in rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.
  • Learn new technologies, processes, and tools.
  • TRAVEL

  • Willingness / Ability to travel up to 25% domestically. International travel may be required, mainly China.
