Position Purpose & Summary

The EHS PPM Specialist is responsible for portfolio and project management activities across projects with medium to high cost and risk, including project leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business results.

He / She must demonstrate thorough knowledge of Project Management, full knowledge of PDP (Project Delivery Process), and general knowledge of portfolio management.

This position reports to the EHS Regional Portfolio and Project Management Lead and will work with APAC EHS leadership, Corporate, Operations and Business leadership, multiple peers, stakeholders and contractors to achieve Cargill’s goal of ZERO harm.

Principal Accountabilities

1.20% Project Leadership :

  • Provides strategic vision to the project team utilizing a general knowledge of portfolio management and basic business / technical acumen.
  • Leads periodic project reviews utilizing a full knowledge of the project delivery process.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements project management best practices based on a thorough knowledge of project management.
  • Provides mentorship, coaching and development for team members as appropriate.
  • 2.25% Project Planning

  • Defines project objectives and scope utilizing expert knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
  • Develops the Integrated Project Plan for projects with the highest cost and risk.
  • Accountable for the project management plan
  • 3.20% Project Execution

  • Leads the execution of projects with the highest cost and risk.
  • Integrates people and other resources to carry out the project management plan for the project.
  • Successfully manage and monitor progress to ensure project objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and business results are realized, for projects with the highest cost and risk.
  • Makes decisions and takes actions to achieve results.
  • Manages project risks and issues.
  • Be the final point of approval for contingency plans and scope changes.
  • 4.15% Project Control

  • Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections for projects with the highest cost and risk.
  • Contains and resolves issues within the project that do not require project sponsor attention.
  • Escalate risks and issues as and when necessary to appropriate responsible persons.
  • Follow up for resolution.
  • 5.20% - Business result & Others

  • Accountable for the delivery of projects.
  • Accountable for providing the Project Sponsor and stakeholders with a routine status of the project, actively communicating issues and threats, and ensuring that leadership alignment is a priority.
  • Works with Project Sponsor and Stakeholders (Corporate EHS, EHS COE, and Business Leaders) to ensure that project is successfully implemented and benefits and value are captured
  • Ensures successful completion of all project phases and closure of all aspects of the project
  • Qualifications

    Education, Experience, Skills

    1.Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher / or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years experience in Business Process Project Management
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams
  • Demonstrated success working independently in a remote, global environment
  • Fundamental training in Project Management
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and establish process and structure
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in building effective teams of domain experts and professionals.
  • 2.Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Advanced degree (Masters, MBA)
  • Experience leading successful EHS projects or programs
  • Experience in influencing and managing cross-functional teams with indirect reporting lines.
  • Speaks one (or more) of the following languages : Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai, Vietnamese. Filipino
