Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes current and long-term objectives for area of responsibility. Plans policies that are consistent with corporate and departmental missions, objectives and culture.
Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of multiple managers.
Be ability to Plans, schedules, directs, and manages engineering activities including the overall architecture, development, improvement, and implementation of applications and processes used for the measurement, monitoring, and testing of web site performance and internal applications by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Forecasts the operating costs of assigned groups.
Evaluates employee performance and provides constructive feedback. May reward and discipline employees as appropriate.
Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables for developing, testing, and installing applications.
Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, technical training, support, and constructive feedback to direct reports.
Consults with clients and other engineering staff to evaluate the functions to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master's degree (M.S.) from an accredited college or university, or four to ten years of related experience and / or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Be a good understanding of programming and scripting languages, operating systems, network technologies, protocols, measurement tools, and Web-based technologies.
Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents;
the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community;
the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
Be an ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
