Tianjin Plant, known as Kennametal (China) Co., Ltd, was founded in 2005 in West TEDA, Tianjin. With around 300 staff, it is one of the top tier manufacturing facilities in Kennametal globally and a vital part of worldwide moderation and automation.
This position is in charge of operations of Steel & Drill product lines on EHS, quality, lead time, on time delivery, manpower, cost and key initiatives such as overseas production transfer, Lead-
time project, cost-cutting project, team restructure etc..
Most areas of responsibility are reviewed on a weekly basis through weekly meeting. And his / her major objectives will be set up with PPM at the beginning of each fiscal year and performance will be evaluated on a quarterly basis.
As for Organizational Structure, this position reports to Tianjin Plant Manager and leads a team of 76 including four direct reports 2 Production Supervisor, 1 Programming Supervisor and 1 Sr. Manu Engineer.
Prepare and manage annual operating budget, including capital investments and inventory control plans.
Identify and monitor performance indicators that measure how well the focused factory level objectives are supporting the basic strategies.
Initiate corrective programs as required.

PRODUCTION : Cycle Times, Capacity Planning, Ongoing and Documented Productivity, Production Cost Effectiveness, Late Orders & Shipment to Plan (assuring customer service)
STAFFING : Manpower Planning and Development
QUALITY : Customer Returns & Scrap and Rework
EXPENDITURE : Inventory Levels, Operating Costs to Budget &Capital Expenditure to Plan
Coordinate focused factory involvement in Division and Corporate sponsored projects.
Ensure that focused factory maintenance, safety and security are performed at levels satisfactory to Corporate, Local, State and Federal policies.
Develop the professional, career and personal growth of all members of the focused factory team. Ongoing analysis, planning and feedback are required to prepare each employee for potential future assignments and responsibilities.

Bachelor's Degree or above in mechanics or related major.
Over 15 years' working experience in production and engineering in mechanical industry.
Expert of lean production and project management.
A sophisticated people manager with convincing track records in handling team restructure.
A professional willing to take challenge and push through execution in a complicated situation.
Advanced level of English proficiency.
