We are currently looking for a Market Analyst to join our team.


  • Supervise research and collection of potential lead sources for all categories of business : corporate tour, meeting and conventions as well as catering business.
  • Qualifies leads with respect to rotation pattern as they relate to type of business involved.

  • Review and maintain all market research sources such as convention calendars, association directories, as well as competitor update, etc
  • Compile statistical data relating to market productions and specific area contribution to total business booked to provide a basis for an annual report as well as regular analysis reports required by the Sales, Catering and Food and Beverage Outlets
  • Assist Director of Revenue Management in updating information contained in the Marketing Plan and Strategic Plan. Provide statistics and assist Director of Revenue Management to develop annual budgets, KPIs and targets in the area of revenue performance, pricing strategies for Rooms, Catering and F&B Outlets as well as total hotel revenue.
  • Prepare regularly report on daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and provide analysis and review on business performance.
  • Monitor hotel inventory and rate through all public channels including brand website, hotel PMS, OTAs, GDS. In charge of public rates loading through OTAs.
  • Participate in special sales promotion programs or solicitations as may be directed by the Director of Revenue Management.
  • Performs such other functions as may be delegated by management from time to time.
  • To conduct day-to-day business and internal / external relationships as guided by Shangri-La’s Core values, universal core practices and Shangri-La experiences.
  • Assume other duties and special projects as requested by management.
  • Maintain close, frequent, open communication with other departments.
  • Be aware and comply with Hotel Hygiene and Food Safety control standard and procedure.
  • Actively participate in and support Hotel and SLIM initiated programs and activities.
  • Requirements

  • Fluent English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
  • Possess a Degree / Diploma in marketing or the equivalent in work-related training and experience.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years work experiences as a market analyst in a hotel or big company.
  • A proactive problem solver. Attention to details.
  • Values team work, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
