We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will :

  • WPB Riskand Control Manager assists with the implementation of the risk andcontrol strategy as set out by Global Risk Function, to ensurethe consistent and effective implementation and performance of operationalrisk and control assurance.
  • Provide guidanceand oversight the implementation of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Frameworkwithin WPB, incl. risk assessment, control creation, assessment andtesting (including control monitoring, thematic review and etc),continuous monitoring oversight, internal event escalation and reporting,issue and action tracking, and etc.
  • Build and maintainstrong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g.business key stakesholders, 2LOD etc.
  • proactively to ensure potentialissues are identified and addressed upfront.

  • Manage new / updatedlocal regulatory requirements, track and report the deployment status tosenior management; manage the response of local regulatory required ad-hocreporting, survey, review for WPB.
  • Acting as risk and control subject matter expertise (SME), to provide consultancy to business on risk assessment & key tollgate review for new initiative, new service and new product, to facilitate business strategy implementation.
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements :

  • More than 10 yearsof general banking work experience with Operational Risk Management experience
  • Have the strongconcept for banking risk control and management to review if appropriateall service and operational risk management processes across the WPB.
  • Strong managerial, communications, project management, organizational, lateral thinking, strategic planning, analytical, mathematical, decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be well organized, demonstrate initiative, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Good time management skills and a positive disposition are needed to cope with the process of heavy workload and tight headcount control.
  • Must beattentive to details for regulations to ensure appropriate operationsaction plans for updated laws & regulations being duly instituted andimplemented.
  • Various rigorouscompliance requirements from both internal and external regulatoryparties. One of the key challenges for this job holder is to implementvarious policies, practices and standards covering all sales channels andmeeting internal bank policies and external regulations.
  • This demands thejob holder to obtain good understanding of different WPB departments, agod appreciation of WPB competitive strategies and extensive knowledge onthe various regulations, process and systems.

    He / She is required toanticipate issuers and define preventative measures to minimize thelikelihood of occurrence on compliance / audit matters

  • The jobholder needsto have sound legal and compliance knowledge, together with strongcommercial orientation, in order to make sound judgment and sensiblebalance on business vs.
  • risk areas while quality must not be sacrificed.

  • The jobholder isthe contact point of legal, compliance and external regulators. The jobholder also requires equipping strong communication skills as to obtainbuy in form external regulator, management and key stakeholders regardingthe policies / actions.
  • He / She needs to exercise courageous decisionssupported by strong argument when facing challenges from regulations,audit, regional / group teams.
