Business DevelopmentFMCGSalesActively seeking a business development and leader to work for a global data consultancy that has developed market research and analytic software for the FMCG industry.

The ideal candidate must understand the Japanese FMCG space well and will be responsible for focused lead generation, prospecting, sales pipeline management, relationship development and close of the sales process.

You will also be responsible for line management of 4 Junior Account Managers in this division.Actively seeking a business development and leader to work for a global data consultancy that has developed market research and analytic software for the FMCG industry.

The ideal candidate must understand the Japanese FMCG space well and will be responsible for focused lead generation, prospecting, sales pipeline management, relationship development and close of the sales process.

You will also be responsible for line management of 4 Junior Account Managers in this division. This role will require developing both category and key account specific strategic plans that draw on global & regional collaboration, proposition feedback and development, advising and development of marketing packs and proposal writing with the aim of working with clients to drive high value, contracts that provide solutions to their key business issues.

For Global clients that are regionally managed, you are expected take a pro-active role for existing & new clients, engaging with clients regarding pricing, clients SLAs & account management strategies to ensure client value is derived from the services & relationship.

This will involve working across time zones and adapting your workflow accordingly whilst ensuring no negative impact on availability for client support and new business developmentRequirements : Several years of business development or account management experience, preferably in having sold products or services to the FMCG market in JapanDegree qualifiedSolid leadship skills and line management or mentoring experienceIn-depth understanding of the wider FMCG sectors, value proposition, competitive landscape, client needs & value-alignmentPrior experience in having account managed FMCGs in JapanKnowledge of general marketing practices on maintaing brand consistencyPrior proposal wriiting experience Fluent in English (C2) and Japanese The role is office based in Nagata-Cho.
