Versum Materials, a part of the Performance Materials business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, is a best-in-class electronic materials company providing high-purity chemicals and gases, delivery systems, services and materials expertise to meet the evolving needs of the global semiconductor, display and LED markets.

This position is accountable for working with China DS&S Sales Team to promote DS&S Products (Delivery Systems and Services) to China customers.

DS&S is the business that offers Specialty Gas Delivery Equipment / Specialty Chemical Delivery Equipment / Turnkey Installation of Gas / Chemical systems and Poly Flow products.

Individual is expected to become technically competent with products in order to be capable of leading sales team members to develop offerings to end customers.

This position is accountable for yearly revenue / profit targets for DS&S products in China. This would include growth of market share as well as penetration of new products into the China market.

Additionally, this individual may also be asked to support DS&S opportunities in South East Asia. The individual must be able to inspire the confidence of management and customers by his / her skill in presentation, negotiation and problem solving.

Considerable inter-personal skills are required to deal successfully with the complex relationships. Individual will be expected to have constant interfacing to end customers.

Individual will also need to develop a keen understand of the market and competitive offerings and be able to efficiently feed this information back to head quarters in order to promote improvements in the development of DS&S products for Greater China & SEA.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.Commercial management responsibilities for awarded projects to DS&S in China. 2.Lead and manage the offering of DS&S equipment in China, Including preparing equipment technical / commercial proposals.

3.Managing after sales support business with DS&S China Service Team. 4.Coordinating with Project Execution Team to develop the commercial strategy, technical proposal and cost estimate for the bidding of large Turnkey opportunities.

5.Customer communications / presentations. 6.Developing pricing strategy in order to win the projects and also maintain proper profitability.

7.Resolve past due account issues 8.Develop strategy for complex logistics issues required for China project execution. 9.

Contract negotiation with customer based on input from company’s legal advisor. JOB REQUIREMENTS :

1.B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related field) or Chemistry. 2.Prior project and / or commercial experience, with at least 3 years’ experience, preferably in electronics industry.

3.Good communication and organizational skills are required.
