Manages the development of market intelligence through the design, development, and delivery of information, reports, and projects that improve internal knowledge and accurately inform decision making.

Partners with segment teams on developing strategies and forming decisions that impact business performance.

Develops and deploys effective methods to monitor relevant market trends, competitive threats, and other market activity.

Generates informed, unbiased and credible market intelligence that furthers market understanding and supports decision making.

Aligns with business teams and acts as a thought partner in support of leadership’s decision-making processes.

Manages special projects and provides market input to further the understanding of specific aspects of the market to support informed decision making and strategy development.

Leverages competitive research and market analyses for ad hoc requests from assigned market segments and regions.

Leads efforts to understand market drivers and historical behaviors to build segment-specific forecasts in support of the strategic-planning process and other key initiatives.

Develops and leverages internal and external knowledge networks to build a comprehensive view of the market (e.g. vendors, trade shows, conferences, industry events).

Champions a culture of intelligence gathering, insight generation and value-added support

May manage a small team of Market Insights analysts who are responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, generating forecasts, writing reports and leading / supporting various projects.

  • Data Analytics - Interprets information relying on knowledge of business or functional frameworks, and leverages analytical problem-solving tools to draw conclusions and communicate meaningful patterns that drive business insights;

  • Deriving Market Insights - Researches and collects market and competitor's product data, trends, and positioning using a variety of primary and secondary sources;
  • analyzes the information to develop strategic responses, propose projects and solutions, and appropriately allocate resources in order to maximize business value.

  • Intuitive Listening And Adapting Solutions - Translates needs, expectations, or asks from customers, stakeholders, etc. into actionable solutions through active listening and intuition;
  • chooses or produces solutions (e.g. process change, tool, product, service, etc.) to meet or exceed the customers’ or stakeholders’ needs or expectations or to provide value.

  • Market Analysis - Researches information using meaningful and valid sources and data to expand your knowledge of markets;
  • analyzes findings by connecting dots and identifying trends to create a coherent image of the market; summarizes relevant insights by condensing, prioritizing, and translating how these impact our business.

    Market Forecasting - Analyzes and interprets market data from a variety of internal and external sources and modeling to formulate unbiased market projections specific to business segment.

    Market Positioning - Compiles market overview and trends to build frameworks which provide market insights to the decision making process

    Storytelling - Develops and delivers a compelling narrative which resonates with a target audience and influences a decision or course of action.

    Project Management - Establishes and maintains the "Balanced Triangle" of Scope, Schedule and Resources for a temporary effort (a "project").

    Education, Licenses, Certifications

    College, university or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related subject required

    MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred

    Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred


    5-7 years in strategy, business, marketing, or market research

    Market intelligence experience highly preferred

    Business knowledge preferred

    Education, Licenses, Certifications :

    University or above in engineering, marketing, business administration, or related subject required

    MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred

    CET-6 or above English certificate and fluent English communication required

    Working Experience :

    3-5 years in strategy, business, marketing, or market research in manufacturing industry

    Consulting / Research firm experience highly preferred

    Market intelligence experience highly preferred

    Commercial vehicle industry experience highly preferred
