Title : Senior HR GeneralistReporting to : Associate Director, People Relations (New York, NY); dotted line reporting to the GM of GOAT Group ChinaLanguage Requirement : Fluent in Mandarin and EnglishLocation : Shanghai, China

In this role you will :

  • Partner with our leaders in China, Hong Kong, and the US (Los Angeles, CA) to provide guidance in the following areas : career planning, performance management, training, legal risk mitigation, compliance, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development
  • Design and implement an employee relations program to ensure effective communication between employees, managers, and executives
  • Analyze trends and data around employee performance, satisfaction, retention, policy performance, recruiting effectiveness, etc.
  • and provide meaningful metrics and recommendations related to the insights derived

  • Partner with the Peopleteam to develop processes, programs and policies that support business and employee growth
  • Provide performance management guidance to managers and above
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboard new hires to set them up for success
  • Collect paperwork and prepare monthly payroll
  • Partner with our PEOs / HQ team to process payroll and support benefits administration for China and Hong Kong
  • Liaise with in-house legal team and / or outside employment counsel to ensure compliance with all Employment, Payroll, Benefits, Wage and regulatory laws for China and Hong Kong
  • We are looking for :

  • 3+ years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience directly supporting senior leaders at a high-growth tech company or start-up
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, autonomous, and unstructured environment
  • Experience in the following areas : succession planning, performance management, compensation, recognition programs, culture, engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, and employee relations
  • Ability to manage and resolve sensitive employee relations issues balancing employee experience and the business effectively
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of China law is a must; knowledge of Hong Kong law is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • A passion for sneakers and technology is a plus
