Design & develop electronic schematics, and lead prototyping efforts as well as lay-out work. Ensure designs are meeting technical specifications and in line with industrial team
Produce electronics design deliverables and design documentation per Schneider Electric Development Process
Collaborate with E-Cad and HW engineers (internal and external) to ensure fit / form and function
Collaborate with 3rd party vendors during Brand Labelling projects and ensure high quality product delivery by reviewing and testing proposed designs
Participate in agile planning events including Scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Collaborate closely with quality and marketing to ensure mechanical specifications meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
Demonstrate working experience with global teams & ability to align / bring best in class design and simulation process
Willingness to gain hands-on experience with the products / systems / domain while working on brand labelling projects.
Minimum of 5 years of Hardware Design experience
Experience with Cadence (Allegro), Protel, Mentor Graphics (PADS)
Extensive embedded system design knowledge / experience with processor selection, clock selection, IO characterization, WD Timer experience, ADC, I2C, UART etc
Communication interface experience (RS232, RS485, Zigbee, BLE, WiFi )
Simulations using PSpice and LTSpice or similar tools (MicroCap etc )
Ability to design and represent electronic circuits with functional block diagrams
Managing Bill of Materials of electronic assemblies and conducting electronic reliability calculations, and defining MTTF values
Display design experience using LCD, LED, OLED etc
Simple power supply design experience (switching power supplies)
Basic electronic safety / functional safety experience (spacing rules, DFMEA experience)
Familiarity with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) technology and constraints.
Experience with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing process and constraints
Familiarity with EMC phenomena
Interest in smart devices, smart home systems and IoT Platforms
Interest in understanding environmental sensing mechanisms / processes, and ability to apply this knowledge when developing and executing test plans.
Experience testing / characterizing environmental sensors / thermostats is a plus.
A professional, proactive attitude with good interpersonal skills
Good at oral & written communication in English
