As a Senior Electrical Sales Support Expert you will be responsible for covering the full sales support scope of tendering, quality, and engineering excellence, in Process Automation Business Area in Shanghai, Beijing, China ensuring assigned sales support are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cost / profitability targets and scheduling targets.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager II, you will coordinate and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures.

Your responsibilities

  • Acting as main contributor to define the electrical integration business solution and strategy in line with global division / business unit / product group and ensuring operational development
  • Providing input to Hub business unit / product group strategy and is a key player in its implementation and in strengthening a business model relevant to the scope of electrical solution
  • Contributing to the creation of the business strategy in electrical area and ensuring implementation. Conducting market study to identify opportunities for new and repeat business for ABB products and services
  • Handling RFQ & specifications for E-House for On-shore and Offshore, blast resistant buildings, buildings with or without fire rated walls / roof / floor with different technologies like, Sandwiched, interlocked, fully welded etc.
  • Preparing / reviewing scope, cost, and schedule for tendering, and ensuring proposal quality deliverables on time
  • Building and maintaining strategic alliances with external organizations and networks internally to establish best practices and enhance business, maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conducting regular reviews to ensure the execution of tenders / projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, cost and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with the supply chain function to develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers of services and equipment needed for business
  • Your background

  • 10 years of experience in electrical system sales support or service in heavy industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering industry
  • Estimating and tendering experience or electrical system engineering experience
  • Must have Technical lead experience for overseas project and E-Houses integration experience
  • A Degree qualification in Engineering (electrical) or recognized equivalent
  • Advanced technical knowledge and commercial aspects of business
  • Good communication skills in English and assertive business acumen with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
