Job Description

This is a Product Owner role that will be a member of the Digital Solution China tasked with developing purpose built capabilities for our digital platform.

This role is responsible for defining stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.

The Product Owner has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.

This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management, who is responsible for the product roadmap, and other business units.

Functional Skills :

  • Domain knowledge with eCommerce, retail, supply chain, finance, data science etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process

  • Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Build wireframe and prototype of the products using mainstream prototype tools
  • Responsible for maintaining the team backlog (prioritization, adds, updates and deletes) in JIRA as well as contributing to the program vision and roadmaps
  • Accountability for identifying, managing and gaining commitments on delivery of key dependencies that impact delivery of value added capabilities for the team
  • Responsible for defining the acceptance criteria for stories and only team member that can accept stories as completed
  • Must work cross functionally to identify solutions, technology, people and process components for each of the capabilities planned for delivery
  • Play as key leader on daily SCRUM of SCRUM meetings to provide status reports on progress, risks and issues
  • Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
