About Our Group
The Customer Technical Support group will provide technical support on Seagate products to North China Cloud customers and business partners and acts as a technical resource within the Seagate organization.
The experienced CTS Engineer, as a partner to sales, will be part of the Seagate customer-facing team working on internal and external projects relating to Seagate's products and businesses.
About the Role You will :
Provide technical support on Seagate products to China Cloud customers and business partners and act as a technical resource within the Seagate organization
Act as the partner of Sales and will be part of the Seagate customer-facing team working on internal and external projects relating to Seagate's products and business
Provide product support on all aspects of performance and features of Seagate products
Provide product evaluation and qualification support, working with internal and external team members to determine appropriate products for evaluation
Perform administrative operations to support product evaluations and product performance
Provide onsite support for customers operations where required, and work to identify device failures and assure timely resolution of reported problems
Monitor product quality performance with assigned customers and regularly reporting integration performance
Provide failure verification support where required and issue failure analysis reports followed with corrective actions
Organize technical training for partners and customer as and when required
Provide training on a wide variety of technical subjects to managers and technical staff at customer sites
Maintain knowledge of the Seagate HDD / SSD product line and ensure the customers are kept informed of all the latest technical information related to the products within the assigned group
Maintain awareness of production issues at major customers and other situations that require support
Communicate recommendations for resolution internally
Bring back and translate major customer technical specific requirements to internal language for joint project setup.
Take the lead for project engagement progress and timeline management
Good spoken and written communication skills
Stable work history and excellent track record
Good team player and able to work as part of a team
Your Experience Includes :
Relevant years of experience in IT Hardware R&D or Engineering related area (HDD / SSD, Server / Storage) or cloud industry is preferred
Experience as a project manager or core team leader is plus
Good knowledge of computer platforms, including HDD&SSD, operating systems, hardware, processors, memory, storage, etc
Good knowledge of cloud computing and cloud storage
Good ability to quickly assess and define technical problems and their causes and recommend solutions
Strong technical knowledge of storage interfaces : SAS, SATA, NVMe, PCIE, RAID, JBOD
Strong customer-relationship-management skills and report-writing
Location : Beijing
