The Airbus Chief Technology Office (CTO) is looking for a Senior Scientist in Secure Communications to join our Central Research & Technology -
Communication Technologies department in Ottobrunn, Germany.
With your creative and analytic mind, you will use your unique expertise to inspire and conduct complex and strategic research to realise the technology needs for generation after next products related to communication systems.

The principle responsibilities of the role can be summarized as follows :
Deliver results of research tasks taking into account time, cost and quality.
Performing strategic assessments of technologies to be selected as solutions for research projects.
The Airbus internal and external partnering ecosystem is actively orchestrated.
Keep up to date with state-of-the-art development in science and technology.
Secure high quality of reports and documentation.
Knowledge management in the area of technology.
IP securing by drafting invention disclosures.
Internal and external representation of research area.
Acting as scientific advisor to the Head of Domain.

Stellenanforderungen - Qualifikationen
Your Boarding Pass
Strong scientific background in Design, Modelling and demonstration of Secure Communication Systems for Aerospace products (Infrastructure Based Certificate Systems, Certificate Hierarchies, Root-of-Trust Mechanisms).
Profound knowledge in Encryption, Authentication, Post-Quantum Cryptography.
CISSP certification would be a plus.
Profound knowledge in IT and IoT based Security approaches.
Extended knowledge in Networking Technologies and Concepts (scheduling, TSN, P4, state-less and state-full routing).
Cross-disciplinary (RF, optics, wired and wireless) security.
Network analysis tools (TCPdump, Wireshark or equivalent).
Knowledge of (stochastic) network calculus would be a plus.
Strong track record of scientific publications in high impact communication related journals and invited talks.
Proven track record in conducting cutting-edge research activities.
Very strong ability to identify and assess new technologies.
Experience in knowledge management and IPR would be a plus.
Negotiation level in English and German.
Strong scientific reputation internally and externally (e.g. scientific boards, evaluator for funding bodies).
Good communication skills, ability to influence and transmit knowledge into the stakeholder community.
Ability to work as part of a complex and diverse team with the willingness and desire to build a strong personal network in the research community to support the team's ability to achieve objectives in the most efficient manner.
